Baseball Game Preview: Dominguez Dons vs. Centennial Apaches

The Dominguez Dons will head out on the road to challenge the Centennial Apaches at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dominguez has given up an average of 10.4 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Dominguez is headed into Saturday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Thursday. They took a 15-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of Firebaugh. That's two games in a row now that the Dons have lost by exactly four runs.

Benjamin Suarez and Jacob Potts stepped up to the plate in a big way. Suarez went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Potts went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Alexis Hernandez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Centennial lost 16-2 to Leuzinger on Tuesday.

Dominguez's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Everything went Dominguez's way against Centennial when the teams last played back in March of 2025, as Dominguez made off with a 16-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
