Basketball Recap: Poly Comes Up Short

Poly was the 51-42 winner over Ontario Christian when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Bears fell 53-46 to the Knights on Wednesday. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ontario Christian found their leader in sophomore Mason Salazar, who shot 55% from the field on his way to 26 points and four steals. Salazar is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least four every time he's taken the court this season. Max Steen was another key player, going 5-for-6 to rack up 16 points.

Poly now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Ontario Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Poly will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on San Jacinto at 6:00 p.m. on December 1. As for Ontario Christian, they will take on La Serna in a tournament on Friday.
