Volleyball Recap: South Tahoe Comes Up Short

South Tahoe lost against Fernley on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Vikings fell just short of the Vaqueros by a score of 2-1.

Fernley found their leader in freshman Jocelyn Escartin, who had ten digs and two assists. Grace Chapin also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

South Tahoe now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Fernley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

After both having extra time off, South Tahoe and Elko will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Fernley, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Churchill County on the 16th.
