Columbus has gone 8-2 against Edna recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Columbus Cardinals will venture away from home to take on the Edna Cowboys at 6:15 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Columbus made easy work of Yoakum and carried off a 61-39 win. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 437th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 1040th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Edna entered their tilt with Industrial on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Cobras by a score of 53-44.

Edna's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Columbus, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Columbus strolled past Edna in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 62-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Columbus since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
