Baseball Recap: El Rancho Comes Up Short

Torrance hit El Rancho with a nine-run first inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Dons lost 10-2 to the Tartars. The Dons were not able to make up for their loss to the Tartars from their previous meeting back in March of 2018.

El Rancho saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Aguirre, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

El Rancho's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Torrance, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-9.

Coming up, El Rancho will host Whittier at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Dons are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Torrance, they will head out on the road to face off against Woodrow Wilson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bruins will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Tartars surely won't give up without a fight.
