East Central extended their winning streak to six on Saturday, bumping them up to 6-1. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the South San Antonio Bobcats. The Hornets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bobcats, too.

As for South San Antonio, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-3. The match marked the first time this season in which they were not able to get on the board.

Despite the loss, South San Antonio saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alyssa Ramirez had ten digs and two aces. Ramirez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last ten games she's played dating back to last season.

East Central has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against SA Roosevelt on the 19th. As for South San Antonio, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Winn on the 19th.
