Basketball Recap: Lakeside Lutheran Takes a Loss

Lakeside Lutheran lost against Kettle Moraine Lutheran back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lakeside Lutheran Warriors took a blow against the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Chargers, falling 60-26. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Chargers are ranked fifth).

Despite the defeat, Lakeside Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Nadia Murphy posted ten points and six boards. Murphy also brought in his first shooting accuracy of the season. Shaylen Bou was another key player, putting up five points.

Lakeside Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, the victory (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 22-1.

Lakeside Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-36 win against Lake Mills on the 20th. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 80-49 victory against Winneconne on the 20th.
