Soccer Game Preview: Mountain Home vs. Wood River

Mountain Home is 0-10 against Wood River since September of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Tigers will square off against the Wolverines at 5:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, Mountain Home didn't have quite enough to beat Twin Falls and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Wood River faced Jerome in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Wolverines blew past the Tigers 4-1. Considering Wood River have won 11 matchups by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Jerome with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alberto Romo (2), Reidar Slotten, and Hayden Gvozdas.

Wood River's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1-2. As for Mountain Home, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Mountain Home might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Wood River when the teams last played back in September. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
