Baseball Game Preview: Campbell-Savona Panthers vs. Haverling Rams

The Campbell-Savona Panthers will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Haverling Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Campbell-Savona is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They lost 10-0 to Bolivar-Richburg on Monday. The Panthers have struggled against the Wolverines recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Haverling gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Perry, sneaking past 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted since May 3, 2024.

Dylan Wenban made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Wenban was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Wenban wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mason Davis, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. Those two hits gave Davis a new career-high.
