Soccer Game Preview: North Platte vs. Holdrege

The North Platte Bulldogs will head out to take on the Holdrege Dusters at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Kearney Catholic who was credited with the win on Monday. The Stars got it done in the shootout by posting seven goals to North Platte's six.

Evan McCuskey and Wudit Dasen scored both of the Bulldogs' goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

On Tuesday, Holdrege had just enough and edged out Madison 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Holdrege.

North Platte's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Holdrege, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

North Platte took their win against Holdrege in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
