Basketball Recap: Wynford Comes Up Short

Wynford was the 73-66 winner over Riverdale when they last played one another back in December of 2014, but their luck changed this time around. The Wynford Royals fell 58-51 to the Riverdale Falcons on Saturday. The defeat leaves the Royals without a win on the season.

Wynford's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Riverdale, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-5.

Wynford will challenge Colonel Crawford at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Colonel Crawford knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Wynford likes a good challenge. As for Riverdale, they will face off against Elmwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverdale is facing Elmwood at the right time seeing as Elmwood is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
