The Flagler Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Genoa-Hugo Pirates at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Flagler is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 36.8 points per game this season.
Flagler is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Bethune: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Panthers blew the Bobcats out of the water with a 54-0 final score. The Panthers pushed the score to 46-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bobcats had no chance of recovering from.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Flagler, racking up 15 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Keegan Isenbart, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

One reason for the win was Flagler's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was JR Kountz with two. Kountz is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Genoa-Hugo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 62-44 to Cheraw. Even if the Pirates couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.
Despite the defeat, Genoa-Hugo saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Clint Hale picked up 33 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

The victory made it two in a row for Flagler and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points over those games. As for Genoa-Hugo, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Flagler took a serious blow against Genoa-Hugo when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 59-21. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Panthers were down 40-6.
