Baseball Recap: Apollo Ridge Wins Going Away Against Carlynton

Apollo Ridge's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Carlynton Cougars as they made off with a 12-2 win. The matchup marked the Vikings' most dominant victory of the season.

Alex Clawson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Richard Peach was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Apollo Ridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Apollo Ridge's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Carlynton, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Apollo Ridge will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
