Basketball Recap: Argyle Comes Up Short

Argyle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost to the Lake George Lakers at home by a 34-20 margin. While losing is never fun, the Scots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 426th, while the Lakers are ranked 150th).

Lake George's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mykah Collier-Fisher, who posted eight points along with 13 boards and seven steals. The dominant performance also gave Collier-Fisher a new career-high in blocks (two). Madyson Brennan was another key player, putting up 12 points along with four blocks and three steals.

Argyle's record now sits at 1-6. As for Lake George, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Argyle will head out to take on Waterford-Halfmoon at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lake George, they will venture away from home to face off against Granville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
