Berkeley Prep won the last time they faced John Carroll Catholic and things went their way on Thursday too. The Berkeley Prep Buccaneers walked away with a 6-3 victory over the John Carroll Catholic Rams. The win was familiar territory for the Buccaneers, who have now won five contests in a row.

Carson Binder was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Farrar, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Berkeley Prep's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for John Carroll Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.

Berkeley Prep will take on Dade Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Dade Christian will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Berkeley Prep surely won't give up without a fight. As for John Carroll Catholic, they will take on Key West in a tournament on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (John Carroll Catholic 3.7, Key West 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
