Preston is 0-4 against Hampshire since February of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Preston Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Hampshire Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Preston is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.4 points per game this season.

Preston is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Morgantown on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Preston had to suffer through an 81-37 loss at the hands of Morgantown. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Mohigans are ranked second).

Despite the loss, Preston had strong showings from Easton Hayes, who posted 20 points and seven boards, and Tristian Smith, who scored ten points.

Meanwhile, Hampshire lost 65-41 to Mountain Ridge on Wednesday.

Hampshire's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Preston, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Preston couldn't quite finish off Hampshire in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 and fell 52-50. Can Preston avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
