Basketball Recap: Washington Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Woodland last Tuesday, Washington Academy came back down to earth. The Washington Academy Raiders came up short against the Ellsworth Eagles on Thursday, falling 54-34. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-30 on January 7th.

Washington Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Ellsworth, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

Washington Academy has already played their next contest (against John Bapst Memorial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ellsworth will welcome Mount Desert Island at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
