Football Recap: Wilson Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wilson can now relate to. They were beaten by the Ennis Lions 70-35 on Friday. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-21.

Wilson lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Luke Walsh, who picked up 126 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Eithan Ramirez was another key player, rushing for 51 yards and two scores.

Ennis' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was CHRIS MARTINEZ, who threw for 262 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also punched in one TD on the ground. What's more, MARTINEZ racked up 139.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September. WENDERIUS JONES helped MARTINEZ out on the ground, rushing for 141 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries.

Wilson now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Ennis, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Wilson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ennis, they will square off against Port Neches-Groves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
