Monroe came tearing into Thursday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Jonesville Comets by a score of 2-0. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Comets, too.

Addy Simmons paced Monroe's offense, picking up seven kills. Simmons got some help from Josslyn Jones and her 18 assists. Jones was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Monroe's win bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Jonesville, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12-1.

Monroe didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Bedford on the 14th. As for Jonesville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Tecumseh on the 9th.
