Erie entered their tilt with St. Paul on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Indians. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-0 on Tuesday.
Reihler Collins and Bryson Gildart were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Collins pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Gildart pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Collins got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Gildart went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Collins has become a key player for Erie: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-14-1 otherwise.
In other batting news, Parker Hughes was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Zaydon Collins, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Erie kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Erie's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-14-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for St. Paul, they are on a 29-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.
Coming up, Erie will be playing at home against Fredonia at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Paul, they will head out to square off against Oswego at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oswego has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.14 runs per game on average), something St. Paul will no doubt try to take advantage of.
