Volleyball Recap: Carrizozo Comes Up Short

Carrizozo lost against Mountainair on October 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 3-2. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Carrizozo actually scored more points across those five sets (110-107), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-21, 27-25, 13-25, 27-29, 15-10.

Carrizozo's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Mountainair, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Carrizozo will face off against rival Vaughn at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Mountainair is set to challenge their familiar foe Alamo Navajo at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
