Volleyball Recap: Rusk Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Rusk was the 3-2 winner over Malakoff when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Tuesday.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Malakoff scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 22-25, 25-20.

Rusk has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That lines up perfectly with their 4-12 record this season. As for Malakoff, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Rusk will be taking part in a tournament against Neches at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Malakoff, they will face off against Rice at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
