Basketball Recap: Hermon-DeKalb Central Takes a Loss

Hermon-DeKalb Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 47-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harrisville Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-49 last Saturday.

Joe Shepherd was his usual excellent self, putting up 20 points for Harrisville. Another player making a difference was Damian Hoinaru, who posted eight points.

Hermon-DeKalb Central's record is now 1-6. As for Harrisville, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.

Coincidentally, Hermon-DeKalb Central and Harrisville will both be playing Heuvelton Central the next time they take the court. Harrisville will host Heuvelton Central at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Hermon-DeKalb Central will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
