Basketball Recap: Talihina Comes Up Short

Talihina lost against Hartshorne back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Talihina Golden Tigers were outmatched by the Hartshorne Miners and fell 62-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Golden Tigers have suffered since December 21, 2024.

Despite the loss, Talihina saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Landen Griffith posted eight points and three steals. Griffith has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Bryant, who earned six points.

This is the second loss in a row for Talihina and nudges their season record down to 10-8. As for Hartshorne, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Talihina nor Hartshorne have any future games scheduled.
