Volleyball Game Preview: Kearny Komets vs. Hoover Cardinals + How To Watch

Kearny hasn't had much luck against Hoover recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Komets will venture away from home to square off against the Cardinals at 6:15 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Kearny made easy work of Crawford and carried off a 3-0 win.

Kearny never let Crawford on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-15, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Hoover got the win against Logan Memorial Education Campus on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Hoover took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-10, 25-13.

Hoover's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Kearny, their win bumped their record up to 6-20.

Kearny might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Hoover in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Komets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
