Recap: Immanuel Christian Warriors vs. Wakefield School Fighting Owls

Even though the Wakefield School Fighting Owls scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, the Immanuel Christian Warriors still came out on top. Immanuel Christian took their game against Wakefield School 66-55. The win was familiar territory for Immanuel Christian who now have three in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Immanuel Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josh Choat, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Blanding, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Despite the loss, Wakefield School still got an impressive performance from Xavier Jenkins, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Jenkins is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Julius Crawford, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Immanuel Christian's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Wakefield School, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-3.

Immanuel Christian will head out on the road to face off against Trinity Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Wakefield School, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Fredericksburg Academy at 4:00 p.m. on February 6th. One thing working in Wakefield School's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
