Volleyball Recap: New Palestine Gets the Win

New Palestine won the last time they faced Indianapolis Lutheran and things went their way on Monday too. The Dragons walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Saints. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

New Palestine walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-12, 26-24, 23-25, 25-21.

Chase Emberton paced New Palestine's offense, picking up 16 kills. Emberton got some help from Kameron Engle and his 26 assists. Engle was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Despite the defeat, Indianapolis Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Biak Hleithawang had 11 digs and one assist.

New Palestine's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.

Looking ahead, New Palestine will take on Indianapolis Bishop Chatard at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Tri-West Hendricks on the 6th.
