Searsport has gone a perfect 4-0 against Deer Isle-Stonington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Vikings will take on the Mariners at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Searsport is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They lost 15-2 to Bangor Christian.

Meanwhile, Deer Isle-Stonington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sumner.

Deer Isle-Stonington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaylin Jones, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run. Naomi Duke was another, earning two RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Deer Isle-Stonington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Searsport, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Searsport beat Deer Isle-Stonington 7-4 when the teams last played back in May of 2016. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
