Basketball Recap: HEM Miners vs. Southeast Cyclones
HEM came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 63-39 to the Southeast Cyclones. The Miners haven't had much luck with the Cyclones recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
Ayden Desmond continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Southeast, dropping a double-double with 24 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Desmond has scored at least a third of Southeast's points. Another player making a difference was TJ Moats, who posted eight points in addition to seven blocks and six boards.
HEM's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Southeast, their record is now 15-11.
HEM does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southeast, they have already played their next matchup, a 51-43 win against Niobrara County on the 1st.
