Basketball Recap: Pocahontas Skates Past Storm Lake St. Mary with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Newell-Fonda, Pocahontas was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They claimed a resounding 59-24 victory over the Storm Lake St. Mary Panthers. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.

Pocahontas has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Storm Lake St. Mary, they are on a 32-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.

Pocahontas didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-34 win against East Sac County on the 4th. Storm Lake St. Mary has also already played their next contest, a 76-25 loss against Sioux Central on the 4th.
