Baseball Recap: Linn Takes a Loss

Linn lost to South Callaway back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell 5-2 to the Bulldogs.

Linn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxon Kubiak, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Kubiak has hit this season.

Linn dropped their record down to 5-7 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for South Callaway, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3.

Looking ahead, Linn will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Father Tolton at 5:00 p.m. Linn's pitchers better be ready for this one: Father Tolton has averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for South Callaway, they are taking a road trip to face off against St. Elizabeth at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
