Volleyball Recap: Vandalia Takes a Loss

Vandalia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Altamont Indians. The Vandals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Vandalia was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Altamont work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 28-26.

Vandalia's defeat dropped their record down to 2-21-1. As for Altamont, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Vandalia will head out to face off against Teutopolis at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Altamont, they will venture away from home to square off against Brownstown/St. Elmo at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
