Baseball Recap: Montezuma Comes Up Short

Montezuma fell victim to Keota and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 9-0. The Braves haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Montezuma now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Keota, their win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Montezuma is set to face off against their familiar foe North Mahaska at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Keota will challenge rival Lynnville-Sully at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
