Basketball Game Preview: Middle College Bulldogs vs. St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the Middle College Bulldogs will get right back to it and host the St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

St. Benedict at Auburndale will be up against a hot Middle College squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Middle College blew past Manassas 50-28 on Tuesday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Tigers are ranked 342nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, St. Benedict at Auburndale posted their biggest win since November 24, 2023 on Monday. Everything went their way against First Assembly Christian as St. Benedict at Auburndale made off with a 49-23 victory.

Middle College has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for St. Benedict at Auburndale, their win bumped their record up to 2-18.
