Baseball Recap: St. Peter's Gets the Win

On Thursday, the St. Peter's Eagles were able to grind out a solid victory over the West 50th Street Seahawks, taking the game 9-4.

Freddie Avitto looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Kevin Guzman was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Mateo Gordon, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

St. Peter's win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Peter's will take on Grand Street Campus at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for West 50th Street, they will square off against Stuyvesant at 4:00 p.m. on March 28th.
