Volleyball Game Preview: Herreid/Selby Wolverines vs. Burke Cougars

The Herreid/Selby Wolverines will face off against the Burke Cougars on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Herreid/Selby is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on North Central with a sharp 3-0 win. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Thunder recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

While Herreid/Selby won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-21, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Burke got the win against Gregory on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Cougars have posted against the Gorillas since November 2, 2023.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-13, 25-13.

Herreid/Selby's victory bumped their record up to 25-6. As for Burke, their win bumped their record up to 29-6.

Herreid/Selby came up short against Burke in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, falling 3-1.
