Basketball Game Preview: Hedley Owls vs. Claude Mustangs

The Hedley Owls will face off against the Claude Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hedley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Hedley turned things around against Lazbuddie on Friday. They escaped with a win against the Longhorns by the margin of a single free throw, 56-55.

Hedley found their leader in freshman Payton Inman, who posted 21 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Inman has scored at least a third of Hedley's points. Another player making a difference was Kyler Booth, who put up 11 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Claude was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell to Amarillo HomeSchool F 48-42.

Claude's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Hedley, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-7.
