Lanier County starts season with defeat on the road

Recap: Lanier County vs. Berrien
The Lanier County Bulldogs had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 10-0 walloping at the hands of Berrien. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lanier County of the 4-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2022.
The victory got Berrien back to even at 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lanier County will square off against Monroe at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lanier County is facing Monroe at the right time seeing as Monroe is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Berrien, they will head out on the road to square off against Crisp County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
