Baseball Recap: Tecumseh Takes a Loss

Tecumseh extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 5-14 in the process. They came up short against the Evansville Reitz Panthers, falling 11-1. The Braves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Tecumseh saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Gogel, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

As for Evansville Reitz, their win bumped their record up to 7-13. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

On Evansville Reitz's side, Crue Begle was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Begle a new career-high. Oliver Gates also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Tecumseh didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-0 loss against Forest Park on the 15th. As for Evansville Reitz, they have also already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against Evansville Harrison on the 15th.
