River View came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Morgan, but Carson Huck wouldn't allow it. The Morgan Raiders secured a 73-67 W over the River View Black Bears on Friday thanks in part to Huck, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 21 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.
Another player making a difference was Brylee Shannon, who posted nine points and eight boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (two).
Several Black Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Parker Andrews, who went 6 for 11 en route to 16 points. Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morgan will head out to take on West Muskingum at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in West Muskingum's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests. As for River View, they will venture away from home to challenge New Lexington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. River View is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.5 points per game this season.
