Basketball Recap: Eldon Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Eldon had lost seven straight headed into Tuesday's game, but Corin Davis didn't let it get to eight. The Eldon Mustangs secured a 59-53 W over the Southern Boone Eagles on Tuesday thanks in part to Davis, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Kenzi Ward was another key player, putting up 11 points and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played.

Eldon's victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Southern Boone, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

When Eldon and Southern Boone next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Eldon will try to stop Versailles' four-game winning streak when the meet at 4:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Meanwhile, Southern Boone will face off against Crocker and their seven-game winning streak at 5:00 p.m. on January 22nd.
