Basketball Recap: Cameron Huff Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Brookfield

There's no place like home for Newton Falls, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They took down the Brookfield Warriors 54-40 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Newton Falls got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cameron Huff out in front who went 5 for 9 on his way to 15 points. Dallas Dunlap was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Newton Falls smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Newton Falls has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Brookfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Newton Falls wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 54-41 victory against Lakeview on the 11th. As for Brookfield, they will welcome Garfield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Garfield will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Brookfield surely won't give up without a fight.
