Dover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Winnacunnet Warriors. Even though they lost, the Green Wave's still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Dover got a good showing from Jeanna Martel, who struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off six hits. Martel has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mackenzie Curry was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Cook, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Dover's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Winnacunnet, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
