Baseball Recap: Holgate Triumphs

Holgate lost to Pettisville back in April of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Tigers walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Blackbirds. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

EVAN CRUMRINE made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. CRUMRINE was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Vincent Peck was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2025. GARRET SHEETS also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Holgate hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pettisville struck out 12 times.

The win got Holgate back to even at 4-4. As for Pettisville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Holgate is set to take on their familiar foe Hilltop at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pettisville will square off against rival Stryker at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
