Basketball Recap: Exira-EHK Comes Up Short

Exira-EHK lost against Newell-Fonda back in February of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Exira-EHK Spartans were outmatched by the Newell-Fonda Mustangs and fell 81-37.

Exira-EHK's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Newell-Fonda, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Exira-EHK will face off against Underwood on Tuesday. As for Newell-Fonda, they will take on Kingsley-Pierson on Tuesday. Newell-Fonda knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 contests -- so hopefully Kingsley-Pierson likes a good challenge.
