Basketball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Liberty Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 75-63 to the Southeastern Christian Academy Warriors. The Heat were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 49-48.

Despite the loss, Liberty Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Mark Bachmann, who posted 24 points and six steals. That's the most points Bachmann has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jayden Biggs, who went 6 of 10 en route to 16 points and six rebounds.

Ziyon Smith was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 13 boards for Southeastern Christian Academy. The matchup was Smith's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Uzziah Marlowe was another key player, putting up 16 points and six assists.

Liberty Christian Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. As for Southeastern Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Liberty Christian Academy has already played their next contest (against Faith Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Southeastern Christian Academy will head out on the road to take on Scotland Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on January 27th. Scotland Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Southeastern Christian Academy likes a good challenge.
