Basketball Recap: Calais Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Calais had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 64-47 win over the Narraguagus Knights. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Knights are ranked 91st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Calais pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.2 points per game. As for Narraguagus, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Calais won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Jonesport-Beals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Narraguagus, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Sumner at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
