Basketball Recap: Freire Charter School Wilmington Takes a Loss

Freire Charter School Wilmington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 34-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the First State Military Academy Bulldogs. The Dragons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 65-37.

Among those leading the charge was Rahmere Tomoney, who posted seven points and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Wayne Watson, who put up 12 points and six rebounds.

Freire Charter School Wilmington's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for First State Military Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-18.

Freire Charter School Wilmington has already played their next matchup (against DuPont), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. First State Military Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
