Given the Friars' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Knights are ranked 307th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Holy Trinity had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against West Hempstead by a score of 58-46 on Friday. The Titans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Holy Trinity's win came from a few key players St. Anthony's will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kiera Kozlowski, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 17 boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in steals (four). Jasmine Waszak was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Holy Trinity smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 32 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.

St. Anthony's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Holy Trinity, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6.

Everything came up roses for St. Anthony's against Holy Trinity when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 55-25 victory. In that game, St. Anthony's amassed a halftime lead of 33-11, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
