Volleyball Recap: Naperville North Takes a Loss

Naperville North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Downers Grove North Trojans. If the Huskies were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Trojans when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Naperville North ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18.

Among those leading the charge was Ethan Weiner, who had 15 assists and four digs. He has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last seven times he's played.

Naperville North's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Downers Grove North, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-2.

Coming up, Naperville North will face off against Waubonsie Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Downers Grove North, they will square off against Minooka at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
